Fair play to Kildare coming up to Casement and now Celtic Park and putting in that kind of performance.

Getting messy now.  Cassidy seems cueless.

Bad Junior B defense for Smith's goal there....  Derry went out without a whimper - surely Cassidy will get gate or walk himself

Really poor performance by Derry

Jinxy

Maybe the wind has changed a bit.
Kildare seem to have no problem kicking scores in the 2nd half.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Derry scored 5 points in 2nd half -

Kildare scored 1-9.

The spirit that Cass was referring to last week is not evident this week.

Has to go, Derry have went backwards under him and his decisions this year have been bizarre.

Celt_Man

Not sure how impressed I would be of Kildare - hard to judge that second half performance given how bad Derry were....

Spirit my arse. They've managed to beat Carlow and Westmeath, hardly going to need the greatest of spirit.

Celt_Man

yer man Callaghan was match of the match I reckon....

Oh and that would have been some cluster f**k of an own goal by the Kildare corner back!!  :D :D

When you're getting bate and well bate, it wouldn't have mattered what changes he made today, Derry just weren't at the races today. They were bate all over the pitch.

They were well in it at half time when he made changes.

I'll be filling my boots with Kildare, I'll actually back Kildare minus points.  Any faith I had in Derry evaporated in Celtic Park when Armagh beat them, a very talented bunch of individuals with no backbone, no stomach for a fight and a manager who obviously doesn't have the dressing room.

Ahem...... Holidays paid for.

Derry have great individual footballers, they need a proper manager.  Baker Bradley would do f**k all as his ego is worse than any of the players, as an outsider I would view someone like Tony Scullion as the sort of man who could do a job - a no nonsense type of guy.

Game over barring Kildare deciding to leave the field 8 minutes early.

Joe Brolly wrote an article yesterday in Gaelic Life about the Tyrone team and their intelligence on the field to change/alter their game plan and/or set-up to combat problems or weakness on the field as they saw them happening - with that point in mind how in the name of jaysus could Derry keep kicking the ball out around the middle of the field since the second half started....  they couldn't get a bloody hand on the ball never mind a clean catch.   Surely a couple of short kickouts to wing backs would guarantee possession as well as keeping Kildare on their toes fro subsquent kick outs.

Marty Duffy is also a clown by the way
Derry are the opposite of tyrone in relation to brollys article - playing unintelligent football.
I mean when you have lads in the FF line capable of winning ball and scoring, how do you feck things up - you just dont kick the ball into them - well done lads !
Yeah the wind may have died down a bit and duffy was his usual rubbish self- inconsistent and prima-dona-esque, but kildare had a superb day winning all the breaking ball.
Only cathal mckeever was competing and getting to some of these from a Derry perspective.

If I recall correctly, Cassidy's arrival was greeted as if it was the second coming. Great things were going to happen.
