I don't do anything different except put away the headphones and let the sound system rip.

Come to think of it, she is a slow leaver, takes an eternity to find keys, find right bag, lose keys, find them again, look for library books, find books, search for library card. All this confusion has the dog demented and me thinking 'I wish to feck she would hurry up, find everything and just leave', so by the time she leaves -  just the mere fact that she has left, has the enjoyable tranquilising effect of a few pints.

I'd actually be tidy in her absence and would be a tidy as you go person.

As someone said, it depends if the kids are gone as well. Its carnage if they are about - 10mths and 2 1/2.

In fairness if they all gone, I'd more than likely be out and taking advantage of a few scoops, sadly thats a rare event.

Get a few beers in, get the kids to bed and watch a movie or old sporting DVD, after about the 8th can of beer i scan through the TV and come acorss the music channel and my foot starts tapping to the beat all out of my control of course, then i grab the mobile and the txt the wee sister, does she want to do a spot of babysitting for a tenner? order the cab and hit the town.

Sadly in my case its sleep..

Since we moved in two years ago I don't think I've had a decent nights sleep. My woman takes up 80-90% of the bed despite being half my size, I'm left hanging over one side of the bed millimetres from disaster. So on the odd night she's away I take to the bed about 8PM with Sky remote in one hand. Bliss
