Sarah Palin is one scary, scary person and as for her followers? A victory mosque? These people need locking up.

People who preach intolerance usual come a position of complete ignorance. By spreading their version of total intolerance, Pastor Jones and Palin and the like are every bit as dangerous as the various Fundamentalist Islamic Clerics on the other side.
As stupid and all as she is ;) The fact that she's still relentlessly being attacked, ruffling feathers and has the far left running scared, is a pretty good indication that she's doing something right  8)

WRONG.

Its a sign she is as dangerous and as fundamentalist as those she opposes.

Maybe so...  but at least we can agree then that the other side are more "dangerous and
fundamentalist
" than they are peaceful religious bridge builders....your words not mine!

I don't think anyone has disagreed that the "fundamentalists" on the "other" side are problematic.

You (and Sarah Palin) are the people branding everyone from the other side as dangerous and fundamenalist, while willingly turning a blind eye to the actions of those you are supporting.

The fact that she as a potential vice presidental/presidential candidate opposes the First Amendment beggars belief.

Yes but stay with me here...this thread is about the problematic other side as
You put it trying to build a mosque in NY which is clearly unpopular
with the public.....Palin isn't building anything unpopular with the majority of the people anywhere!

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits the making of any law "respecting an establishment of religion", impeding the free exercise of religion, infringing on the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

Perhaps she is going to "refudiate" it! :D :D

Do keep up hedley....this was never anything to do with rights
the only difference between Palin's angle from what Obama had to
say on it was that she had the balls to come right out and say that in
her opinion, it "should" not be built at that location while obama was
Quite happy to sit side saddle on the fence as usual ::)

The muslim people in and of themselves are not 'the problematic other side', nor did I put it as such. Ease off on the condescension - staying with you isn't the easiest task in the world.

So property rights don't exist anymore ::).....or just not for Muslims :-[
Point is you can not tar all Muslims with the fundamentalist brush......no matter how hard you and Sarah try ;)

It has to be said that those defending the right to build a mosque (or whatever) should also be prepared to defend Terry Jones' right to burn Korans. Right?

Defend his right, sure. He has a constitutional right. I dont think anyone ever denied that.

He also has a constitutional right to arm bears, and to freedom of speech. That doesnt mean its a good idea to walk into Harlem with a gun and start calling people niggers.

Wasn't being condescending....merely quoting your own words

Could you not make that argument about the mosque?
