FIFA have announced that they will examine goal line technology with a view to having it in place for the next World Cup.  Also looking at extending the Europa League extra officials system (according to the BBC)

Pedro through on goal. Torres unmarked. Hold on, if I pass it he might start the final. Bollocks to that.

or based on his WC form Pedro thinks "Well he's definitely gonna miss"

Or fall over again

Why do you keep posting that? It's pretty clear the Chilean lad's knee accidentally clips Torres as he's running past, and he trips over. The Chilean lad even stumbles himself. Are you suggesting it was a dive?

Howard Webb to referee final.  Expect ITV to turn that into some sort of WC victory for England.

Yeah, Webb is that rarity a referee with a bit of sense.  Hopefully he doens't do a Graham Poll and give Van Bommel three yellows!

Thought he was absolutely rubbish last season in the Premier League. Seems to have had a decent World Cup though in comparison to some of the clowns they have out there.

Spain or Holland should be alright with Webb though as neither of them are playing Man U in the final.

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Ah that's harsh. I'm no defender of diving, but I think that was just a tangle of feet/accidental clip with Torres going at pace.

It's not a Stevie G starfish.

stiffler

So in Sundays final Liverpool have Torres, Reina, Babel, Kuyt....utd have howard webb.

Well hopefully Torres doesn't kick the penalty spot again if webb give's the dutch a penalty on Sunday  :D

Champions league & world cup final in one season for Webb not bad for him

Thought that myself! If he had missed that it would have destroyed him confidence-wise. Pedro had the chance to shoot before the 1st dummy to add to that impressive record of his.
