Watched last twenty minutes of the other game, great game, but no goals!!! was constant end to end attacking.

you're kidding? Cliftonville would have beaten the pick of those two teams. It was diabolical

They say the World cup doesnt start for real until after the group games are over and the knock-out stage starts. So i cant wait until tomorrow for URUGUAY v SOUTH KOREA and USA v GHANA !!! f**k me there must be something better on

Torres is off form like Rooney....

If Ronaldo knock's out Spain i can imagine he'll get a few boos when he return's to Madrid

Torres isn't fit I reckon, at least he isn't putting himself in the shop window with those performances  ;)

They should be both be decent games Hoof, beats Derry v Carlow anyway!!  South Korea are a great wee side to watch (totally gung ho all the time) and Uruguay aren't as negative as they used to be.  The US are also pretty decent to watch too, another all action side and Ghana are definitely one for the future.  I still might make the journey to Dr. Cullen Park though.

Chile have been far more impressive than Spain so far in the World Cup.....Iniesta was the only Spanish player that played half way decent tonight. I'll be throwing a few quid on Chile to upset Brazil, they've beaten Brazil already in qualification and won't fear them.

Chile where beaten by Brazil 3-0 at home & 4-2 away.. maybe your thinking of Paraguay they beat Brazil in qualification
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

On hindsight you're probably right Bogball, i watched that Portugal v Brazil dung today and that could have been favourite for game of the tournament. Sometimes the South Koreas and Ghanas of this world are easier watched

I saw that 4-2 game, brilliant game of football, was 2-2 and Chile lost a man or two if i mind right, that's when I earmarked them as a team to watch in this world cup.

Yep, spot on ross.....still fancy them to do a job on Brazil, with ten men tonight ya could nearly say the outplayed Spain.

Chile do some amount of fouling.

I was just thinking about this the other day. Surely the aussies must be the team with the most amount of fouls committed? Seems like they are never done blowing the whistle in matches featuring the socceroos.

Chile might be short a few players after bookings and sendings off tonight, wheras Brazil have players coming back from injuries and suspensions. Brazil to win 3-1.

Spain have been reasonably impressive without being at their best. They should have had all 9 points but the Swiss picked their pockets. I think Torres showed signs tonight of getting his form back and if they get a couple of goalscorers in form and beat Portugal they will get to the semis.

Are Uruguay not serious value at 18/1 each way???
Can see no reason why they cannot reach at least the semi final
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

except that south korea are going to bate them, i think they'll struggle with the movement of the koreans tbh, but they do have a bit more class than the other 3 teams in their quarter.
There's four teams there and not much between them, any of them reaching the semi would have been classed as a surprise at the start of the tournament and you're right that uruguay are probably the most solid of the 4, they have good attacking options and big men at the back, i'd say therefore that 18/1 is fair, but not a great price.  Likely opponents in the semi are holland/brazil, so you've 4/7,  4/6 and 5/2 to make the final.
