so much for the so-called E.A.S.Y group which was discussed after the draw was made

England
Algeria
Slovenia
Yanks

Arguably the hardest of the 3 games to go.

This is class.
Aye all the talk was about who they would play when the topped the group. There have been no whipping boys in this group although would still expect England to go through. They'll get absolutely tanked in the red tops from now til Wednesday and they'll know it is all to play for. The main fear is that they'll qualify and kick on.

f**k i cant see it. It would take an almighty turnaround

red hander

Blighty are wonderfully atrocious but they're still in a position to qualify they scarcely deserve ... looking forward to the papers tomorrow, but the Sun has some neck considering its 'EASY' headline when the draw was made

Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

To be honest I do think they'll win the last group game and qualify, but they'll not go much further.

I hope so, I don't know how I'm going to hide my sheer delight at work on Wednesday if they dont.
Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

Great to see it after that EASY shite in the paper. Yet more excuses from Andy Townsend, "that's not the Wayne Rooney of Manchester United" and "that's not the Steven Gerrard of Liverpool", did it ever occur to him England just aren't that good? Algeria played some good football tonight, made England look awful.

If he runs the England team into the ground he'll certainly go up in your estimations.

From BBC text:

"Nice to see your home fans booing you," said England striker Wayne Rooney to the television camera as he left the pitch in Cape Town.

Yep, ITV just showed him saying it there

Dunno what his problem is...he was worse than shite

Yes, they made england look awful, but "played some good football" - they contributed handsomely to probably the worst game so far (the other contender is France v Uruguay, which I think was better).

I thought they played some nice stuff! Maybe I'm just getting caught up in the occasion a bit. Would love to know where Kevin Keegan is getting the positives from this perfromance.

he did look a bit tentative that time he stretched for his ankle, he's never really recovered from the bayern injury?  (Scot Fergie rushed him back too quick in order to scupper England's chances)
