Has been a terrible World Cup so far.  I know its early days but still, there has hardly been 90 minutes of good football between the 12 games played so far.

Ivory Coast vs Portugal on now.  Ronaldo was very close to giving Portugal the lead.  Hit the post with a great effort.
Hard to disagree with any of that.

Serious effort by Ronaldo would have been a cracker.  That yellow card will haunt him though

You'd imagine Ronaldo will try to test out this new ball more than any else has so far. Bit surprised he hasn't had another go like that though.

A few tackles flying in here.  The Ivory Coast are out muscling the portuguese, easing Ronaldo off the ball.  He's been doing a bit of whinging.

I can't see the standard improving in the knock out stages as most teams will be playing for penalties

I think the ball is playing a part in the amount of passes being overhit, it's ridiculous.

A few bad tackles coming in on him in fairness and the ref doing nothing.

If Ivory Coast were to score it would really liven things up.  This so far has not been a major improvement over the lack of quality we have seen in the other games.

Schkite

Yeah it's been fairly poor alright, you would have been looking at this before as one of the better group games aswell.

Hopefully we'll see better games in the next couple of round of games when teams actually have to go for the win rather than sit back and take the draw. With a bit of luck Brazil and Spain might provide us with a few goals aswell in the next day or so(if they don't then what hope have we got!).

I think the second half has been quite good.  Here comes Drogba.

The Cote d'Ivoire's #10 Gervinho has been impressive.

Good compared to the tournament so far, but I'd still have expected a bit better from these two teams, at least a goal by near 70 minutes.

It's fair to say neither of these teams are gonna make a impact at this world Cup?

Well at least one of them is going to make the knockout phases.  Is that not an impact?

At least Brazil v North Korea is guaranteed to have goals. Isn't it?

Major impact i guess, on this showing they will both do well to get past the 2nd round
