Very disappointing from England, very mediocre. Look how good Argentina were today, they had it all except the goals. England are miles behind.

And we have yet to see the 2 favourites! A sense of realism won't do the English any harm.

Sure they're not realists, they still think it's theirs to lose

Where did this "Steve Gerrard" come from?

Capello thought they played well??????

What has happened to English goalies? They were showing a clip of all the mistakes they have made in big games. When did Shay Given last make a mistake for Ireland?

When he f**ked up against France and tried to blame Thierry Henry rather than admit that he wasn't up to the job.

Never underestimate the power of complaining

Green makes a mistake every other week for West Ham. He shouldn't be in the squad let alone the pitch. Seriously, why is Capello earning a fuckload of money to just follow Eriksson's blueprint for failure.

But they have no real options - England simply do not possess a top class goalkeeper. So in terms of reliability, you are only replacing like for like - Green, James, Robinson, Kirkland, Carson - doesn't matter - they will all make mistakes. Their only long term hope is Joe Harte, but to be honest I've seen nothing this season - good and all as he played - that suggests he'll be anything really above the rest. He's in the same mould as Green, Kirkland et al.

Funny - as a kid, English goalkeepers were renowned around the world and Brazil's keepers were considered duds. It's now the opposite!

Would agree with that Rufus, people seem to be anointing Joe Hart as a young Rinat Dasayev. He played behind a very solid, stingy defence that kept clean sheets against a lot of mediocre teams. England just don't have a reliable keeper, which is nice.

Watched my first WC 2010 game tonight. Diabolical. Disgusted with myself that I missed Cavan/fermanagh for this shite.

Could anyone tell my why there's a truck strike going on during the match too. Doing my f**king head in.

I watched USA v England. It was shit. Thought Cavan v Fermanagh would be shit. Didn't watch it. Highlights didn't seem so bad. Regret the decision. Voice opinion on GaaBoard.

How does that display insecurity? ???

Watched Argentina v. Nigeria and the first half of the tans v. the Septics.  Still smiling about both games.  Altogether now:

"Let's all laugh at England, let's all laugh at England, nah naaaah nee nah, nah naaaah nee nah"

Viva Argentina.

Capt Pat

But the 2 matches weren't on at the same time. They never overlapped at all.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
