I see there might be one Irish lad, sort of, heading to the World Cup.

Have they really only named 3 forwards?!

[ballinaman]

Yep, can't seeing Oz doing much in this world cup to be honest. Squad is older and weaker than the last WC. Kewell is injured too. The might have enough for Ghana but Serbia and Germany will have too much. Serbia are my dark horse to do well.

Some of the players left out of that Argentina side are ridiculous. Maradona really should have swallowed his pride and called up Riquelme, as well as those other 2 mentioned.

[Hedley Lamarr]

Can't believe he left out Zanetti......class pure class.

Great to see Pedro in after the season he's had, likewise Valdes, although I', not as confident he'll make the final cut.

[Schkite]

Yeah, Casillas and Reina are the first and second choices and they might bring young De Gea along just to give him a taste of it and experience, but Valdes should be going on merit really. But with the amount of shocks in these World Cup squads you just don't know.

[The Real Laoislad]

Jules Rimet

[Billys Boots]

Can't believe he left out Zanetti......class pure class.

And Riquelme!  And he brought Veron.  The man's a maniac.

That Spanish midfield is awesome - Fabregas is probably 7th choice.

In reality Maradonna should be sacked now.
