For the first half hour Greece looked like the worst team in the tournament...now 2-1 ahead.

What a bad mistake by the Nigerian goalkeeper 2 minutes after making the save of the tournament.

Catch the high ball

The Nigerian keeper played quite well against Argentina and kept them in it. African keepers have their good and bad days.

Nah I know, it was an old myth from the oul days, much like Scottish keepers.

From the rear-view, the ball moved/wobbled a lot, in fairness to the keeper.

Emmanuel Adebayor on the bbc panel really needs subtitles as I'm finding it hard what the hell he's saying

Anyway back to the studio and Lineker says to Jurgen '20yrs is a long time for Germany not to win it' cue Herr Klinsmann with the following 'its better than 44yrs of hurt'  :D

That's kinda like Mayo man saying to Cork boyo "long time since you lot won the senior All Ireland"

They have a point here, you could see the other defender pointing and shouting at Demechelis when the Korean player was running behind him.

Much like Bayern Munich, Argentina can't expect to win a major tournament with Demechelis at the back

Bayern got very close to it..........

Ray Houghton's relentless negativity about the South Koreans nearly drove me to switch to an English channel, but just turned the sound off instead. The RTE panel (Irwin and Hamann)  at half time thought it was beneath them to even mention the Korean goal, no  mention of the striker pouncing on the loose ball, keeping his cool and stroking it nicely over the keeper. A goal your granny would not have scored.

Anybody with half a football brain could have told Houghton and the pundits that SK did not need to win this game and if they went all out on the offensive like he was propagating, Argentina would destroy them on the break.
Probably one of the worst commentary/punditry sessions I have heard on RTE.

Has a team ever surrendered as fast as Nigeria did? a truly spunkless team.
