How'd the skiiers do last night?

Kirsten McGarry was disqualified from the Slalom due to a ski being judged to be 1mm too thick!  She had done reasonably well in the first run.  Shane O'Connor goes in mens slalom this evening.

The big one one now on BBC2. Canada v USA in the mens ice hockey final. The BBC were saying in the build up that this is the one that means the most to Canadian's and they would rather win this gold than any other.

Archie Mitchell

Canada 1 up.

They are no Mighty Ducks though!

Poor enough or maybe i was expecting to much
God bless the hills of Dooish, be they heather-clad or lea,

Apart from the fights and big hits, Ice Hockey seems like an awful spectator sport. I haven't a clue where the puck is half the time and any wee flicks or things worth seeing have to be replayed in super slow motion to catch them. Maybe I have to watch more of it to get the wee subtleties and stuff.

Canada not much good at there power plays advantage

Canada went 2-0 up USA have got one back now 2-1 end of 2nd period - should at least be an exciting final period.

EDIT: USA score with 24 seconds left - heading for OT!

maco

2-2. Less than 25 seconds left when USA equalised!

great match this! golden goal wins the gold medal
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Big finish. OT was all Canada though. Might be a beer or two in the locker room!
