Ireland girls alot better than the men.

weareros

That was some win. I think 3 chances and 3 goals.

The ladies have stepped up to the highest level under this coach, that was a brilliant performance.

The men are just awful to watch. Offering nothing against Canada FFS. Jake O'Brien having a miserable few minutes of dumb passes to guys surrounded by opponents and then has a corner hit him and go in. Comical stuff

Great result for the Women last night. This group not depending on McCabe and O'Sullivan as much as it used to. Squad has got depth. Yesterday's result no fluke as we should have gotten something from first 2 games in group v France and Netherlands. Free hit on Tuesday v France. Hopefully we get a result and Poland do us a favour.

The second half was a bit better. But I'm not sure what the point of it was. Why bring all those fringe players to start with his strongest 11? Giving Brennan 3 minutes of injury time seems like a waste of airfare.

Anyone stay  up last night  to  watch the Canada match?

I did, but I am a night owl anyway.

Turgid first half. Worst we have played since Kenny. Kick and not bother chasing stuff. Better in the second, but still not great.

Canada were good, but absolutely no end product. Cut through the Irish midfield only to Hoof into the stands. Will need to seriously relax in front of goal to do anything at the WC.

Umeh had a good game. I assume Coleman got a game to help him find a club. But I would have liked to have seen the bench emptied. 3 LoI players played, admittedly Brennan for 3 mins, but if you bring those players, give them a shot.

This is how you deal with the Isra3l situation

I would look for our International team to play Israel, encourage it to be a sell-out with cheaper tickets and give them the biggest hostile reception one could give a team representing that country - without being anti-sematic, racist, etc. Bring plenty of colour and Palestinian flags. And aim to give them a good hiding. That is the way to deal with this - not by hiding behind the couch and saying we won't play them.

The way to deal with this is to not  take the field against these absolute lunatics. Facing them gives them oxegen and legitimacy. A no brainer imo

The bit in bold, when does this nonsense stop ?

From the Bunker

Anti-Semitic is a convenience word for 'Don't question or go against anything we do'.
It has how long is a piece of rope limitations.

The depth of their power can not be underestimated. They can destroy countries and have probably set the seeds for our demise already. 🫤

It's not anti semetic nor  is it  racist to highlight the Israeli  genocide of  the Palestinian people.

Although that's exactly what Israel will say it is  no matter what Ireland do with this  game. Not play - anti semetic. Play, and give them a hostile reception - anti semetic.

The Irish  government has already banned that  c**t who taunted the  people being detained by Israel , and some other c**t as well. That will already be considered anti semetic  by Israel.  You're never going to win with  these  psychopathic b******s.

Refuse to play, full stop. If Ireland are fined  or thrown out  of the next  qualifying campaign, so be it .

From the Bunker

I don't like the thought of them getting a free pass in this situation. A concession of the game would be swept under the carpet by UEFA.
