They are there. Do I just click and drag them into iTunes?

Thanks Main street, has done the trick, just about 100 songs lost.

Ive been using iTunes for almost 6 years now, and I have a new problem. Previously, I had iTunes on a work computer at a place I no longer work, and at a home computer in a place I no longer live. I also had a 3G iPhone which was stolen, and now have a new 3Gs phone.

My question is that when I authorized a new computer to access my iTunes account - only the music purchased on the new iPhone is available. All other purchased music over the other three devices going back to 2004 - is no longer accessible.

Any ideas?

A hot bath and a early night? Maybe a drop of Jameson as well?

Another user or another application?
You are using the ipod on your computer and have done so before with no problems?
Have you followed all the instructions from that linked page? have you reassigned a drive letter to the iPod in Computer Management.
Windows is a peculiarly knotty OS and fortunately I never had to learn the ways around its many idiosyncrasies. I don't know the ways around to unlock a process.

Last resort.
Is all your iPod music in the iTunes library?
if so then just do a low level format to the ipod drive  (to fat32) , wiping everything out and start from scratch, then restore in iTunes.

That would be one of the idiosycrisities of Windows, not allowing you do a fat32 format

Here is a link to a utility called Partition Manager, you can format it with that.

I have no technical help to offer but I would just like to say I f**king hate itunes, most annoying, user unfriendly thing I have ever had the misfortune of using.

Thanks

Alright Lads,
I'm unable to connect to itunes store or download podcasts. I get the message Iunes could not connect to the store: Make sure your network connection is active.

It was fine until a few days ago and all other web applications are working, any suggestions?

Main Street

It's not iTunes fault.

Probably this is a firewall issue. Probably you have some anti virus software running and for some reason it decided to block iTunes. In general  I don't use anti virus software so I am not au-fait with that merry go around. Probably you have to try and gain access as an admin to add iTunes to an exception list. But most probably delete your anti virus software, scrub your hard disk clean and check iTunes connectivity before reinstalling your AV software.
