Said it at the end of last year - Martin should have left after the Cup final ....

He got the board out of trouble. Celtic don't have the squad to compete with a  Rangers team with no mid week European games.

I'd rather he stayed now until the end of season - unless there is a decent replacement.

That was a 1-0 mauling. Martin was the cheap option and unfortunately he doesn't seem to command the respect of the players. Would Glasner, Howe or Mc Kenna take it? European football is the only draw, I'd say.

You'd absolutely need to look beyond the English leagues.

Given Celtic's spending power, or lack of, having someone who doesn't have a databank of players from other areas who'd do a job (e.g. Ange) won't work.


You'd also say Newcastle are going as well now as they ever were under Howe... after having sold half the team.

I was there and it wasn't an easy afternoon men, the utter dross served up gets worse by each passing game. I'm not defending MON here by no means as tactics and subs are so bad it's scary but a lot of this is on the Board for not getting the players in. The Celtic midfield is a joke and is League of Ireland standard with no pace, power or physical strength and height. Celtic are so easy to play against it's comical but I wasn't laughing, a clear out is needed but we all need to understand that changing the manager is not going to change the culture at Celtic. As long as them dinosaurs that run the club and continue to sign their own project players and not sign the players needed then nothing will change.
The only positive from yesterday is MON is likely to leave and this could be the tipping edge for the fans, I expect the "Not another penny" campaign to romp up and you will see a lot of empty seats at Celtic Park in the coming months and mine in particular. I have just removed myself from the Home Cup Ticket Scheme this morning...

The work on this should have been done when BR left.Are you saying there is no managers out there? The process has to start sometime. MON did say that he was only there for 1 year.

I agree with what you say. DD has been holding the club back for years . There's no vision on how to move the club forward.
