Most impressive was the way the crowd noise raised to a crescendo, totally  blocking out the CL anthem.

The team performance was excellent, just so many positives. Engels is a real gem of a player, takes away all of the pain of losing O'Riley. Idah's goal so confident and composed, Taylor (mistake aside) is almost a different player. There are no weak links at this level. Of course it will be a different games v Dortmund and Atlanta  but you get the sense Celtic will be a handful.

Think we needed to win that tonight and we done so in style. Couple of tough ones coming up but even a draw in any of those next three would be decent enough before another run of winnable fixtures.

Great start. We will be lucky to keep engels for 2 years

Agreed, he's very young too, by the time he fills out and starts bouncing off lads in Scotland it'll be cash out I'm afraid, big money move south, to be fair thats part of the Breandan deal, they'll join Celtic as guaranteed CL with a manager who plays a good brand of football and known to develop talent. That Celtic team is very capable but his IQ stood out a mile, picking up pockets all the time and not always being found, when it clicks hopefully in the next few months there could be some very sxchee fitbaw, his delivery from corners was excellent too

Celtic were relentless last night, probably should have been further ahead at HT. Very satisfying victory nonetheless.

A lot of places will be decided on goal difference. So scoring a plethora last night was important. It will be important if we lose to Dortmund - not to lose by much. Would be a real bonus to get a draw v Dortmund or Atalanta.

Great start to the season by Celtic. Last night, very dominant from the off.

Scales, a lad who I'm not too sure on, was excellent and got the crucial opening goal. Actually he has been more consistent than CCV this season i think.  CCV has been prone to a few lapses in concentration, which is very unlike him.

Celtic should have been more up at the break but piled in at the start of the second half.  The defence will be disappointed with the goal they conceded. Should have been cleared.

Maybe with the recent investment nd the new format of the tournament, there's a positive attitude around Celtic Park now. Crowd, as expected, was good last night also.

Regarding the Belgian lad. He looks very good for someone who's only 21. Hopefully he settles well in Glasgow and pushes on. As others say, he could be gone in two years for big money. I think that's what his plan was anyway when he signed. Get in the shop window, especially European nights and head south to England.

It just goes to show (early days) if you invest, you should get it back. I'd say only for Matt O'Riley being sold, then Engels wouldn't be at Celtic. You invest and you'll get your return.

Tougher nights ahead so a lot to play for yet.

Was at Wed CL game and the Hoops were very impressive and like someone said you can only beat what's in front of you. I was speaking to some Bratislava fans in the Hotel later that night and they didn't see that result coming, they thought they would get a tight game and snatch a draw. They were totally blown away by the atmosphere.

Today's cup game v Falkirk was poor enough but sometimes too many changes destroys the whole rhythm of the team and I think that's what happened today. 3-4 changes would have been enough. When BR put the Cavalry on Celtic blew them away. Glad to see big Idah getting among the goals again as he looked a bit sluggish the first few sub appearances but has now 3 goals in his last 2 games. I think BR has lost it with Palma, today he subbed him off straight away after losing the ball and looking like he didn't care too much. That man is so frustrating as he has so much talent but is not a team player and looks like he will get limited game time at Celtic with his stinking attitude.

Playing some stuff at the moment. Long may it continue! Engels and Bernardo are flying. Dortmund will be a good barometer of what level Celtic are actually at.

Hoping to arrange a day trip over to a Celtic game before Christmas from Belfast on the boat. Do you know if there are many supporters clubs in Belfast that arrange ticket and travel and do they generally have capacity for taking non members?

Team expected to be at full strength tonight? Thoughts/fears ahead of a huge acid test?

Will Rodgers go for a pragmatic compact disciplined approach and look to hold out largely?

Any areas that Celtic could catch Dortmund off guard?

The problem with playing substandard opposition weekly in Scotland is 2 fold

- not the best preparation
- in a cake walk result like the weekend all your patterns are laid out for CL opposition to see, Celtic would have tougher training sessions that some domestic games

CCV out and Trusty in apparently.  Hopeful of a score draw.  Need to stay away from stupid red cards and letting in an early goal.  Don't think Dortmund are going too well but still a big step up for Celtic.
