When we win the All Ireland everyone wants an open draw, and when we win the league ye want to change the format again.

The system is working, so just get competing and take the bloody thing seriously.

How many of ye went to the game?

I was at it

I meant Kerry supporters, just to see how seriously they were taking it.

Derry football is finished if people like you are representative of the competitive spirit of the county. Nobody is going to hand you a league title (well, not twice in a row anyway)

derry kerry and cork were never going to bring a crowd to cp yesterday (only donegal would be farther away) and monaghan has one of the smallest pop in ireland. yet it was still a desperate sell by the gaa. i know if the dubs or kildare/meath.tyrone etc iw would be a much easier job to fill it but the gaa need to promote the league final or dump it. imo it must be on the same sunday evey year (last one in april is good) and be on rte. why oh why is it on tg4 in irish where 3% of the pop will see it. to promote it you must get people to see it not hide it on tg4. i see someone in the leinster council today saying it shouldnt be on telly because thats keeping the crowd down when the exact opposite is true

RTE and TG4 are not branches of the GAA, we can't control what they want to show. RTE don't want to bother showing the league, TG4 do. Fair play to TG4, without them there might not be any league football on TV.
As part of any championship package the gaa could easily insist that rte show league games, they could also insist on a decent highlights package - how do you think loi gets its hour long monday night network 2 package?

I thought that TG4 was a national broadcaster and available to 100% percent of the population. It's usually on the button marked 4 on your remote!!!

Rossfan

You'd expect that Kerryhoors would at least be able to speak the 2 languages that are in every day use in their own County. :-\
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

Whether or not your Irish is fluent it is possible to get a grasp of the commentary. But even if it were not, if you went to a game you would watch it and see what is going on, without commentary. TG4 is available to even more people than RTÉ owing to its Belfast transmitter. Do you think that it is too difficult to change the channel on your TV?

Crokers set to be full this weekend for the rugger yet the weekend before for our national league final it was about a 1/4 full, doesn't look good does it ?

Personally - i think it is vary fair that the games are on TG4 as it is the most widely available station in the country. Don't get RTE, The BBC doesn't show any matches now since the GAA in their wisdom sold the rights to Setanta.
My view, sell all the rights to TG4

Too right it doesn't. Anyway as muppet said, the best supported counties should be represented. It'd be Mayo and Dublin then!!
