Who all is still to come into the u21 team? Will the likes of Niall McKenna and Harte be called up for the championship?

The talk was that Niall McKenna, Matty Donnelly and Pete Harte were to be called into the panel, but under the new regulations from Croke Park the MacRory teams have first call on them. Considering the 1st round against Antrim is on 18th March if Dungannon and Omagh get to the MacRory final then it's difficult to see Harte and McKenna being brought in. I'd assume Matty will be available from now though.

Think Gavin Teague is in the same boat.

Might have been discussed on here before, but what has happened Dungannon? I presume they have succumb to the town team disease which currently has afflicted two Newry clubs in Down (Bosco and Mitchels) who are now playing in Division 4.

it could be a bit much to ask lads who are still at school to go and do a job for the u-21's

KIDDO 4

Ronan Mc Nabb from Dromore on the panel , not used in this game.

To be honest, you'd be expecting Aidan Gervin and Peter Hughes (unavailable because of the UUJ game) and McNabb to be definitely starting come Championship time from the boys that played no part in that game, while either one of Mark or Ryan McKenna will probably be involved too. It's difficult to see any of the MacRory lads nailing down a starting place at this stage.

There's a potentially decent enough u21 team there. I know last years minors are young but some of them are already played key rolls for their club in division 1. Harte,Teague,McNabb,Coney,Niall McKenna should all be close. Up front there's decent forwards including Gareth Devlin,McAnulla and Mulgrew. McKenna is a good player and should do a job at midfiled.

Are any of last years starting minor team underage again this year?

From last years panel only Shay McGuigan, Dermot Thornton, Brian Kelly, Brian McGarvey, Sean Warnock and Danny Gorman are available. The latter four all played a part at some stage, Gorman picked up a cruciate injury against Down and was replaced by Kelly, McGarvey started against Cavan and had a few appearences as a sub, Warnock started against Monaghan and Roscommon

One of Tyrones greatest supporters has passed away.  Brendan "Screw" Mc Cann lost a long battle with illness yesterday.  Famous for his everpresent Tyrone scarf from 1973 which went missing in the late '90s sparking an Irish news campaign.   Brendan was a colourful, fanatical gael with an infectious sense of humour - an old school fan.     May he rest in peace.

Just a wee question.

You may have seen the uproar about Cavan football and the latest question is about the size of some of the players.  I seem to remember when looking at the intro before the all ireland that a number of Tytrone players were 5'8" e.g. Philip Jordan. Did I see correctly? How many more?

Now I'll go back to the "We're doomed" thread.

He's the biggest man for 5'8'' I ever seen.
