Quote from: rrhf on June 09, 2023, 02:10:25 PMI think Donaghmore name is already on it fellas, albeit it's a long time ago... I agree though with the points.  Loughmacrory are a serious seasoned group, well coached and full of football, as also are, Errigal, Dromore, Dungannon, Carmen, Killyclogher, Trillick, Ardboe, Omagh and Coalisland who would be on everyones lips to win the thing. Don't see that changing anytime soon.
Favourites: Errigal Ciaran
Main Contenders: Dungannon, Trillick and Dromore
Hard to see any winners outside of those four.

Mad take. I'll save this one for October
Who else do you capable outside of the 4? As in string together 4 consecutive wins
Carrickmore for me have to be in the favourites discussion. Id like to hear why you think they shouldn't. Beaten in last years final and won a league two years ago.
A championship run of beating Coalisland (missing three best forwards) Loughmacrory and Clonoe doesn't strike me as genuine outright contenders. They haven't beaten any of the established bigger teams in my eyes to be considered ahead of them.
If I was picking an upset for the championship first round it would most likely be Edendork nipping Carrickmore in my opinion.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Good thing I'm not a betting man lol. How we played the first 12 league games had me fooled

Pomeroy will take out Clonoe should they meet.

tyroneStatto

Galbally have a great chance of causing an upset with that breeze in the 2nd half. They could easily be ahead as it is if either of those 2 other goal chances had been taken.

tyroneStatto

Galbally left it behind them again.

Can't see it. When Clonoe woke from their slumber the other night they were very good.

Man in his 20s arrested in Cookstown over it.

Should we expect times and venues to be released tonight even with two games still to play after tonight in intermediate ?

tyroneStatto

Strabane have never recovered from the bad beating they got in last years Junior semi.

Kildress v Moy could well be put in for Thursday night in Dungannon HC under lights. That QF could the be put in for the following weekend. However there is no reason at least 6 of the QF's couldn't be played next weekend.

I think that was misreported by Teresa mannion and mixed up by her as it hasn't been mentioned since that the arrest was in cookstown. But man is being held in donegal for it.

It's a somber day and some more to come for our parish. The Condolences from all the clubs and organistions on Facebook are very much appreciated.

A poor weekends football overall. Weather conditions today didn't allow for good games which is fair enough but there wasn't much to write home about in the previous 3 days. Trillick/Loughmacrory at least provided a bit of excitement.

Edendork the pick of the performances. Errigal still the team to beat in senior. You'd still have to fancy Clonoe pretty strongly for intermediate.

What is the QF draw for Intermediate?

square_ball

#47382
1. Clonoe v Aghyaran
2. Clogher v Kildress/Moy
3. Derrylaughan/Stewartstown v Gortin
4. Pomeroy v Owen Roes

I think semi final is 1v2 & 3v4

Edit for having Tatts instead of Aghyaran

Quote from: skeog on September 23, 2023, 06:34:29 PMCarmen in decline despite the heavy outlay on outside manager/coach, Omagh worse with an even bigger expenditure on manager and coach from outside.Must be a long time since Carmen surrendered so meekly.

Totally agree & unacceptable for a panel of that quality to surrender so meekly as you put it.. I don't think in the grand scheme of things Edendork are a 7/8 point better team than us but it was men against boys on Saturday. Its going to be hard now to keep boys at it for the Semi finals of the league. The big question the club has to answer in the off season is who will be appointed for next season, no doubt the rumour mill will be in full flow for every club come Novemeber.
