Walk way / running track / outside running path....whatever way you want to call it.

Pitches are closed officially, yes. Nothing you can do to stop certain teams using council pitches at weekend during daylight hours however at weekend.

4 weeks is not enough for pre season. The last time some players have ran was September, depending on how you did this year it would have been even before that and you think a month will do after what will be presumably, at least 4 months break, not only that with public gyms closed? No chance. It doesn't work like that.
If players have not been looking after themselves then yes. But as the saying goes, you get fit to train, you don't train to get fit. It is a waste of a coaches time if he is just there to help boys shift the Christmas pounds.

GetOverTheBar

Fair point LeoMc, but there won't even be a Junior team who thinks 4 weeks is enough to prepare for a season.

Madness.

That would leave club league starting approx. May or June? (Depending on Tyrone Championship run and covid regulations at the time, obviously)

Depending on how county do. Could be July.

I think club leagues can start at normal times (end of March/early April) but you will have to play without county players until county season is over. In Tyrones case, surely they could play the 5 starred games in April / May / June time (for example, every fortnight) and then continue season when county players are available which will be latest mid July.
It wouldn't be fair to ask club players to sit idle until July time and then try to cram in a full league and championship in 5/6 months.

I'd have thought the same. Start early May and play the starred games. I'm not sure what the format of the leagues is going to be. Going forward they talked about playing 11 games with and 11 without county players. The 11 without would work well in giving fixtures April to June. Though it could league to teams with county men having a bad start to the league. Also it's doubtful they'd get 11 matches played with the county men from July.

Personally I think the 7 game league and championship worked well with the county men this year. I'd keep that and have some other regional league running April to June without county men. Give players regular games and good preparation without penalising them for having county men. Would make for a very competitive league come July with teams having to perform to avoid regulation.

Given that the split season is going to be coming in next year anyway, I would imagine the CB probably will try to keep it as close to the split season as possible. As for the point about starting the leagues in normal times (end March/start Apr) I don't think that will fly with the likely covid restrictions that will be in place around then. Interesting times at the moment, things that seemed sacrosanct previously being changed in a generally better direction for the ordinary gael.

I'd imagine leagues will be split again as this virus doesn't seem to be disappearing. Still few clubs no management going by the post above. Very surprised Cookstown don't have anyone, would they not be one of the front runners for the junior championship. Hopefully kildress get their due reward in promotion. Any confirmation on youth grades next year?

Some interesting proposals out to the clubs tonight. Option C, the addition of a development league and Omaghs junior B proposal would mean the potential for a lot more football and a lot more playing football.

Go Games for 2021 will proceed at 7.5,9.5 and 11.5.
Underage grades will be at 13,15,17 and 19.
Féile will move to under 15
