What you's make of the United in for Benteke rumour, just a case of the agents/ Villa pushing up the price? I was actually one who would have liked to see him come to Liverpool (all be it I would have been reluctant to pay over £25K for him) He's a risk because of his injuries but I think he's bags of ability.

I'm no fan but he's worth a bit more than 25k..

I doubt there is any truth in the Man United rumour and probably is just his agent playing games.

my tuppence -

would have been happier at £25m but what da hell, its not my money, way different in the Carroll scenario in that I hoped they would bow out at the £12-£15m mark back at the time;

also a considerably better and more mobile player than Carroll imo, prob not just as good as we'd have liked, but considerably better than what we have at present;

and finally, we now have 6 attacking midfielders and 7 attackers on the books, all wee need is ossie ardiles to become manager and I think we have it cracked!
