I see Everton's bid for Gyfi Sigurdsson has entered the serious negotiating stage.
Possibly £44m?
I think it would be a great move for both. Gylfi's a class act, his all round ability at this level is proven beyond doubt, he's just about reaching his peak and now can move his game up a few notches with better players around him.

It's a strange business where increase in income for clubs is immediately  swallowed up  by ferrari fueled inflation re players' salary and transfer fees.

as for lukaku leaving.. never has a great goalscorer leaving been met with such indifference by the fans. never really 'got' the club and always seemed to trying to engineer a move away.

Never has a goalscorer joining (who can't score anymore) been met with such jubilation. At least he gets the club though

A bunch of grown man screaming like that I wouldn't be to inclined to stop for them either.
I remember watching an interview with Shane Long and he said he could tell straight away who was the genuine autograph collector and who was going to put whatever he signed straight onto ebay for profit.
I would guess that's what's going on here..
