Down the years Arsenal was always indentified with Celtic and Chelsea had close ties with Rangers.
Chelsea always had a large element of fans that was identified with the National Front. You know the bovver boots and swastikas and anti-Semitic chants. They were fiercely anti-Irish as well.
I remember well when Damien Duff went there he got a rough time from some of the fans. The rows with Arsenal fans were never highlighted as much as the trouble between Celtic and Rangers but there was always trouble between them.

OTB I don't know what your problem is but you have a real bee in your bonnet re racism, religion, etc etc. There are a pocket of fans at every club who are racist, anti scemetic etc at every club, Chelsea being no different. The club had an awful issue with this is the early 80s, and have eradicated it now.

Mourinho has come out barking about Chelsea's lack of success this season, but i think he was losing his sheen himself long before Chelsea got rid of him.

Here are some facts for him to ponder.......

** Mourinho failed to steer Chelsea to a Champions League Final, being ousted twice by a team as ordinary as Liverpool. Grant overcame Liverpool, and steered Chelsea to the final at his first attempt.
The width of the post prevented him actually winning the cup.

** Chelsea's grip on the Premier League was actually ended in the 06/07 season, when Mourinho himself was still manager.
Due to the upheaval that Chelsea endured this season after his departure, plus African Cup absentees, and quite a few injuries, i think Chelsea's runners up slot this season was a more admirable achievement under Grant, than the previous season's one under Mourinho.

** In his final season, Mourinho won the FA and Carling Cups. Considering that the League Cup has become a reserves work out for the likes of United, Liverpool, Arsenal etc, i don't think this is the currency that Abramovich was expecting to be dealing in, when he invested over 500 million sterling in Chelsea.

Avram Grant has been treated shamefully by Chelsea.

I'd give Abramovich another 12 months around Stamford Bridge. If the Champions League doesn't arrive next season, he'll be going. He has hardly been seen around Stamford Bridge this year.

The involvement in Chelsea is for his own self indulgence and gratification.

People like him must always be on top, get what they want, when they want and be top dog.

Moscow showed him that there is no guarantee that Chelsea will ever provide that ultimate gratification of a Champions League.

This season has seen Chelsea as runners up in the Carling Cup, FA Premier League, Uefa Champions League, FA Community Shield and also i believe in the FA Youth Cup.

Expect the woman who polishes Chelsea's trophies to be the next person to get their p45.

I thought that was a wind up, that Chelsea couldn't possibly have someone named Bruce Buck as chairman but there you go.

I guess a £5.2m payoff eases a lot of suffering for Grant.

Mourinho's  media mates were always flying his flag and saying Chelsea's winning run was down to his legacy.
After the CL s/f win they couldn't say that any longer because Grant had taken them further, so Drogba more or less said that it was still Mourinhos legacy because the players are still learning what Mourinho wanted them to to do and the pennies finally dropped last week.
