Well in fairness now the players were a major part of the success - that is taking nothing away from McCarty who did a fantastic job. I cant understand why Dan is been singled out here - he obviously was not the only player that wanted McCarty gone. It seems to me alot of people like knocking last year's hurler of the year - build him up and then knock him when given the chance - typical :o

As a neutral I will be supporting Waterford this year and hope they do very well

Big Dan publicly humiliated Justin when he was taken off against Clare - there may well have been others who were more responsible than him- but everybody saw act of lunacy and disrespect !

I would see it as a proud hurler who was pissed off with it all - starting a game when he was clearly not match fit. McCarty is a big man I am sure he does not expect a hug from every player leaving the field ;) . Obviously Mccarty had lost a section of the players at that stage , Dan could of acted with a bit more grace but sure what was the point in been two faced? I have never seen any quality player too happy after been taken off

Big Dan after last year has lost the run of himself - he now thinks he's God almighty - he has told Waterford supporters only to go to the matches if they are positive ! He organised the heave against Mc Carthy - he looked like he hadn't wintered too well, never got a touch of the sliothar and was taken off and publicly shunned his manager. Does he really expect support from the general public ? As someone here said earlier Big Dan would be playing intermediate only for Mc Carthy.
