Tonight on BBC Four.

Night  21:00 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Runnin' Down a Dream (R) (T) Feature-length profile of one of America's best-known rock 'n' roll bands, directed by Peter Bogdanovich. The documentary reveals how the group formed in the mid-1970s before moving to California and releasing a debut album in 1976, and why the record's success in the UK was partly attributed to how it fit in with the emerging punk and new wave scenes. Featuring interviews with the musicians and their friends, including Stevie Nicks, Johnny Depp, Dave Grohl and Rick Rubin, to chart the performers' independent-minded approach to their music and careers through more than 30 years on the road.

Saw this before, absolutely excellent stuff. Takes a fair commitment to watch though!

You should be thankful the concert is indoors.

Any reports lads/lassies? Had to miss it due to work commitments but assume it was a good night?

Great gig Declan, with Jonathan Wilson as the support. The place was rocking.

I thought it was outstanding, although there were a few hit I'd like to have heard! Dunno if it's whether I expected it to be a big 3 hour Springsteen-esque extravaganza but it seemed a bit short to me, clocking in at just under two hours. Encore was only two songs, although they were absolute belters.

He said he'd try to make sure it wasn't 20 years before he's back again this time!
