So Tony when you are down in Clones for Ulster championship you'll be ringing the Gardai when some of the Armagh fans are puking and pissing in peoples door ways and being drunk and disorderly. Will you f**k.

Dont be silly myles, have you not seen the decline of Armagh football. The days of big days out in Clones are few and far between !

Played in Clones as often as Tyrone this year.

FFS AFS, didnt think you would take the bait as easy. But then again Tyrones ambitions are higher than playing in Clones !

What irked you more, the Northern Ireland jersey, the fact that the wearer was certainly a Protestant, or the fact that they were throwing snowballs at a church?

Would you have done your civic duty if they were sporting Armagh jerseys and clodding at a Protestant church? I suspect I know the answer to that one.
They probably would have missed ;)

Doubt any of us would Myles, hopefully Cavan get a few days out there and I'll be there beside them!! Not pissing in doorways, just drunk in Clones!!

Clearly there are some of us that would, as long as they were wearing Linfield or Northern Ireland soccer jerseys.
Truth is if you went ringing the cops everytime you saw the law broken you'd have a very large phone bill.
I might also add, tongue in cheek, that when Cavan do get to Clones we tend to get drunk after the match - not during it. :P

Tony why didn't you do the right thing and get out of your car and bust the two of them.
I can swim a little but i can't fly an inch

You did the right thing if people where attempting to damage the church. Scumbags should be dealt with.
Your use of terms like "jaffa bastards" speaks volumes however. If the NI jersey is irrelevant as you later stated why mention it?

QuoteAlso I would be supremely confident that I would never see any snowball attacks on protestant churches.

Why so? You think protestant churches have never been attacked/damaged?

Orior

I'm reminded of the time Peter Protestant, whoops, sorry, Peter Robinson and his cronies invaded Clontibret.

When they all returned to their cars their windscreens had been smashed. There's a great picture of it somewhere - has anyone a copy?

I'll decide I am a man of relatively advanced years, therefore I did not fancy my chances singlehandedly against two young blokes, and in any case initiating assault is a crime in itself, regardless of provocation.

NIFan, I didn't claim protestant churches weren't attacked, but I'm pretty confident I'll never see two young lads in a town centre, in broad daylight, who are unable to pass a protestant church without lobbing snowballs at it

A few years back some arseholes painted "Brits out" on the Church of Ireland in Castlebar, crazy & disgusting stuff all together, since its the one and only sectarian thing I've ever seen in Mayo.
Seperatly on another note, the Church of Ireland's clock was fixed a few years ago, with large donations from the Catholic Church going community.

I think it's well past the time to mention again that one of the snowball wielding attackers was wearing a NI top.
