they reckon capello has a style and system he prefers. a holding midfielder in 4-4-2
Barry is out so Carrick replaces him.

i guess  Capello watches the Ulster Championship !

And he is a fan of Kevin Walsh.

Anyone hear Colin Murray on BBC 2 saying as an Irish man it was great to see Henry not getting that penalty. Fair play Colly!

Why?

Makes a change from plastic paddy's like Mark Lawerson refering to England as 'We.'

Not at all. My 1st time seeing Walsh was in an U-15 basketball game. He had a sprained ankle but still played on one leg dominating the game. Class player and seems like a nice guy.

Greece are playing with a 4-4-3 formation according to RTE :D
Sure who needs goalkeepers anyway!

thank god, we might have a game now.

I have a bad feeling about these horns.

1986 gave us the Mexican wave which wasn't too bad except when Meath did it against Kerry. (Galway got them back though)

1990 gave us the 'Roger Milla' dance (yes I do use ads as arguments) which only caught on in Dublin and Joe Brolly

Various World Cups gave us teams (usually African) threatening not to play unless they got more. This has really caught on in the Gaa

Now I fear that some 'entrepreneur' will start selling these horns and Croke Park, not to mention the Aviva, will ever be the same again.

Having said that Snooker and Golf might benefit from their introduction.

definite penalty there for korea - how can yon tube on ITV say "well he had his legs nicked when he was about to pull the trigger but the referee probably got it right"

What's the capacity of these stadiums, there hasn't been one full yet.

Capt Pat

2-0 to south korea. Good finish for the second goal  but the story of this game so far is rubbish Greek defending. That is 3 great opportunities just handed to the Koreans resulting in 2 goals.

Greece dont look like they want to be there, neither did France last night. Hate teams like that, should be some way of sending them home after the first game.

Dying here trying to watch the Korea game and the Horns are going through me head ...... can't stand it anymore. Thank god for TG4 the Irish RM is on.
They get momentum, they go mad, here they go

Carmen Stateside

Korea no joke, play nice football.  Greece very poor, how Kyrgiakos of Liverpool cant make that defence is beyond me.

Schkite

Yeah good to seea team like Korea going out to play football after thon shite last night. Brutal defending by the greeks, bad mistake for the second goal though Park still had a bit to do and finished it well.

Looking forward to seeing Argies in action now.

Jesus that background noise with them horns constantly going really grinds my gears.

They're a nuisance but Blatter refuses to do anything about it. It must be some rackey trying to play with that surrounding you as well.

Do you think Usain Bolt could replace Thomas Walsh?

Capt Pat

Argentina heavily outgunned physically at corners take the lead with a free header from Heinze.
