I'm bringing the wife away for a romantic weekend (as in a weekend away from the kids!) I haven't the heart to tell her about the golf, it's going to be tough on her.

I told my woman last night that if she wanted to move home to her parents until next Monday it would probably be for the best. Champions League last night and tonight, Liverpool on tomorrow, Golf from Thursday to Sunday and Real Madrid v Barcelona on Saturday oh and I'm also playing Golf Friday afternoon... I do feel bad for her a it's her birthday on Saturday but sure what ya gonna do? It's just unfortunate for her really isn't it

i've always liked the look of alvaro quiros for this tournament, he didn't go well last year, but was a debutant. 
McIlroy could give this a go and his price is starting to get tempting.  O'Hair is another excellent player and is available at 66/1 and another good longshot is Louis Oosthuizen, he has just recorded the elusive first win and he really could train on well, he's probably about 200/1 too.  As you never know what tiger will do, i prefer betting without him and the betfair prices are much the same without him.  Another I might back is Garcia, I don't really think it's his type of course (but he was third here a few years ago), but 75/1 is worth taking on somebody who might someday win a major!

Barring the above, the more realistic winners should include Stricker who doesn't seem to get the credit that being second in the world deserves (if he still is, can't be bothered checking), he's nearly treble Els' odds??

The Aussies are talking up Allenby as their biggest hope - but his sometimes wayward putting will rule him out at Augusta I think, even if it has improved.

Would like to see Westwood win it if none of the Irish manage it.

Ryan Moore would be a good outside tip for a silly tenner. 5am starts for me from tomorrow morning to watch it live and I can't wait

He does, and he slowly seems to be coming back into form but I don't think it will be this weekend to be honest. That said, you never know at Augusta

Paul Casey and Camilo Villegas are serious value at 40/1 ew. Tiger at 5/1 is another serious bet too, cannot rule him out at all and the longest odd's you'll most likely see him for a Major.

Good current form is not a pre-requisite for a winner. Neither Cabrera or Immelman came into it with any form at all. Cabrera was the lowest ranked player ever to win it I think.
Anyways I'm going for Ross Fisher. He lost me a fortune in the Open last year. Now he can make amends
