QuoteIt'll all end in tears with him fecking off Madrid in a year or 18 months for about half the fee currently available.

The only thing I'd say about that TAM is I've my doubts if the cash is really there. Madrid are full of shit.

I fully agree that madrid are full of it, they do not have the money to buy ronaldo now but are trying, and suceeding, in unsettling the player and probably hope to get him cheap in a years time.
As for berbatov, I think he holds up the ball well and is strong in the air. He is a bit of a sulker and a lazy git so i doubt you could play him and ronaldo in a tough game. However I do think he would link well with either rooney or Tevez as they would no longer have to play the out and out striker and could drop back to the number 10 position that suits them better.

Marca reporting Glazers will let him go.

Marca make up stories worse than any of the British tabloids. They basically cover Madrid all day, every day, so any sort of rumour, innuendo or gossip gets printed as a story.

I'd like to see Aguero arrive. Wonder is it realistic.

Not a big fan of Berba's. Would rather see a poacher like Huntelaar - cheaper, younger, and what we need.

He is a lazy b'stard but with Fergie and Rooney lighting a collective fire under his ass he should get a good goal return.  Not seen enough of Hunterlaar other than in Euro08.   You need to watch a player week-in week-out to know if they are ManU material.  Lesser players can eek out a decent living at Liverpool, Arsenal etc but only the best can make a career at Old Trafford..

I'd prefer Huntelaar myself. he'd cost half what berb would and has a lot of potential. if he doesn't make the starting xi straight off it won't be a problem. that said, beratov is quality

Heard Graham Hunter on about this lad the other night and he sounds like the next big thing.

The Corporal

Guys has anyone heard any news on the player we signed on a free in January called Manucho? Has he been drafted back in for pre-season or what is the craic with him. Anyone know if he's any good?

nifan

He scored a cracker in one of the first games of the African Cup of nations. Think he made the team of the tournament as well.

If we do sign Berba or Huntelaar what does that mean for Rooney an tevez??? If Ron stays which i hope he will hes obviously gonna ocupy the right side so does that mean tevez an either of the signings up front an rooney on the left???? in big games id rather be more balanced with either Giggs or Nani on the left.....

Nani could be one to watch this year.

Does that make them the best players, or part of the best team?
Id venture the latter.

COuldn't see him fitting Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo and Berbatov into the same XI too often.

Would be more enthusiastic about Anderson rather than Nani this year.

Looking forward to seeing both of them Ando could be a big hit for united but i think Nani could be v good reminds me of ronaldo a lot when he arrived maybe even slightly better.

Tacadoir if we do sign either of them what will the prefered 11 on the big days do you think?

Haven't seen an awful lot of Hunntelar but what I have seen, i don't think he'd displace Rooney or Tevez. If Ronaldo stays, my first choice team would be;

                Foster

Brown     Rio     Vidic    Evra

     Hargreaves   Carrick

             Anderson
Ronaldo
                    Rooney

             Tevez

Really think Foster should be given a go this year. He may not be be at Van der Sar's level just yet but I think he needs a run in the first team to show what he can do. Van der Sar did have a good Euro 2008 though.
