Both Stormont Assembly and NI Local Council Elections are pencilled in for May 2027.  The Stormont powersharing executive has somehow managed to survive the last two weeks, but we're not out of the woods yet and it could still collapse in the near future which could result in an early election.
At this stage I would be very confident that more Pro United Ireland MLA's will be returned than Unionist MLA's.  Also in 2027 Meehole Martin will stand down as Taoiseach to be replaced by Simon Harris and FG are currently working on some major United Ireland blueprint.  The Unionists are making no attempt whatsoever to sell the Union to Catholic communities.  To cut a long story short, Northern Ireland is fucked.  The 2027 Election victory for Nationalism will be the real start of a process for a Unity referendum in 2032

Let's hope so. Jesus imagine Simple Simon was the man to lead the charge! As long as he doesn't actively oppose it like Mehole, it'll be a great improvement.
