This is much more serious than Saipan which was one asshole walking away because he didn't like the pitches. This is protest involving international sport and international politics with huge bearing on the rest of these players careers. Some may be denied (or gain) a multi-million £ contract off the back of the decisions they make today. It's a really shite position the cowardly FAI have stuck them in.

Saipan was a whole lot more than that. But agree that this is much more serious

The FAI should all resign in disgrace after this. The time to pull out was when the fixture was announced. Instead, they piled all the pressure on the players, now stuck in a hotel in Hungary with vulture suits and press circling. Who'd even want to represent the FAI team again after this.
