More empty nonsense from him, he'll just say he was being sarcastic. If he did actually pay out I'm sure it would be something like Mar De Lago holiday vouchers or issuance of Trump Crypto or some other scam to rob the Treasury blind for his own gain.

Doesn't matter anyway, life goes on and we need to put this circus in the back mirror soon as. Canada and EU have a big announcement next week on closer ties from trade to security. Hopefully positive and tangible cos there's major shit down the line.

If Democrats win control of Congress, Americans will get a $10,000 dividend, a pony, and free ice cream for life (with a choice of free yogurt for life instead, because we're Democrats after all).

The number of Irish people on facebook supporting this **** is unreal. Are they just doing it to annoy "the lefties" or do they genuinely think he's a great fella? Would hope a lot of the accounts are bots but plenty seem real.

There's Loads of anti-government contraians out there. The Shinners have lost them in droves to the MAGA bandwagon simply by Trump being even more populist than them.

The appropriate response to the proposal. It's a clever if crude political trick by Trump to antagonise the Democrats into climbing onto their moral high horse, a position from which they've lost most of their last elections. It's not like "vote for me and you'll be richer" is anything new in politics. It's existed since the Romans senators subsidised the price of grain 2000 years ago. There's no real difference between this announcement and any other politician proposing a 5% tax cut, as always Trump, has just stripped away the altruistic facade and presented policy in its true cynical, gaudy form.

The Republicans expect to lose the house so this is a promise they'll never have to think of again after November. It's a deliberately provocative statement to occupy the headlines and divide voters into their culture war factions, shoring up the Trump base. Where the Dems win this election is by focusing on the war Trump is losing with Iran. Even Republicans will abandon the guy who is forced to champion spending billions of dollars prolonging a stalemate in some far flung country they don't give a shit about.

Don't take the bait Democrats. Focus on Iran and the cost of oil.

He's certainly given two giant fingers to the cancel culture that has become more and more powerful over the last few decades. Completely teflon to any of it. I'd say that's good enough for some people. Is trying to tank the world economy and ripping up all diplomatic norms a good trade off or maybe they don't think that deeply about it? Or maybe even feel their jobs or status are not going to change that much from the eventual ramifications. Who knows? But don't mention the kids.

It's combination of bots and idiots. AI is now used to comment on any Trump related post plus social media more than ever has showed empty vessels do indeed make the most noise.
