Bought a solero recently. Hadn't  had one in a long  time. Couldn't believe how small it was. Probably half what it used to  be

I speculate its not only cost but manufacturing process to quickly coat and set on the biscuit. Its listed as "chocolate flavoured susbtance" to avoid getting sued.

You can see telltale sign by looking at underside and seeing through to actual biscuit, sometimes its actually exposed. In which case you can complain and get reimbursed with vouchers.
