Kieran McGeeney to remain as Armagh manager. Unanimous support from clubs, will be his 13th year in charge in 2027.

2027 will be his 38th consecutive season to be involved in senior Inter-county football:

• 18 as an Armagh player.
• 6 as Kildare manager.
• 1 as Armagh coach (2014 when he also had an involvement with the Tipperary senior hurlers).
• 13 as Armagh manager.

Galway should have won Sam this last number of years. From the outside looking in definitely looks like something not working there.

Overtrained (too many injuries to key players for it to be related to chance) and overcoached (Galway haven't put a team to bed in years. They always leave the door open rather than going for the kill).

Galway GAA officials tonight have scotched widespread rumours that Padraic Joyce is stepping down as senior football team manager.

If you believe the rumours going around the squad members had a vote this week and voted overwhelmingly for a change in management.

If true at that point his position is untenable unfortunately. Big fan of Joyce- always comes across as a decent fella but if the belief isn't there from players it will be very difficult to turn around

They were absolutely over cautious at times in my opinion. Forget the stat exactly but the time taken to get shots away in the 2024 final had Galway taking far longer than us which cost them.

They were absolutely over cautious at times in my opinion. Forget the stat exactly but the time taken to get shots away in the 2024 final had Galway taking far longer than us which cost them.

Most if not all of the teams in the old rules was like that.  Programmed when and where to shoot from, Jim Gavins Dublin had it down to a fine art.

Cian O'Neill gone from the Kerry senior management team. 

O'Neill's departure after two seasons is one of a number of changes O'Connor will be making to his coaching ticket for next year. Shane O'Rourke, a lecturer in sports performance in MTU, is tipped to join the set-up as a strength and conditioning coach.
Kildare native O'Neill was part of the set-up for the last two seasons having previously assisted Galway. He came on board in September 2024 when Paddy Tally, who later took the vacant Derry manager's position, was due to step into the performance coach role.
Last year's final victory over Donegal was his second All-Ireland SFC success with The Kingdom following the 2014 victory over the same county.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was more to do with all the injuries they picked up this year.

Pretty much their entire squad picked up an injury at some stage throughout the year.
