Kilrea vs Newbridge as stand alone fixture on Friday is a fair strange one. It'll hardly inspire the neutral I would think. Surely Bellaghy, Slaughtneil, Glen, Swatragh, Lavey could have hosted that.

Bellaghy vs Dungiven 12 on Sunday, sure it has the potential to be a good game. Two teams not too far apart quality wise, neutral crowd will be small now that Slaughtneil and Magherafelt are last fixture the same day.

Clubs were asked to submit any dates / times that didn't suit and that would have fed into the scheduling. Hurling championship the previous two weekends so that's likely why Dungiven, banagher, screen and slaughtneil are on Sunday. And swatragh on the Saturday. I know my club were asked and their request was facilitated.

Is it really a wild thing to say that some Derry players seem more focused on personal endorsements, sponsorships, business ventures and brand collaborations these days? I would have thought that was widely accepted.

From the outside it looks like some of those lads have taken their eye off the ball. Can't surely be argued? And they shouldn't be an automatic choice in 2027. That was the original point made. Why is anybody taking issue with that?

Are Martin Bradley and Cormac Murphy fully recovered from injuries and playing regularly for their clubs, Ballinascreen and Magherafelt, respectively? If so,they would be welcome additions to the Derry Senior panel for 2027 as would Newbridge's McAteer and Oisin Doherty if they decided to commit FULLY.What about this selection to be Derry's B side to play againsat the side which started in Derry's last Championship game against Meath?
