QuoteI did tell you lads that England v France would have been the most interesting final.  Won't be any surprise should Spain and Argentina be a bit of borefest tomorrow night.
I don't really care. England are in no danger of winning  it now , and that's all that matters.

I have my  preference  for both winning it tomorrow, but not  bothered either way

There's not a hope in hell that an England-France final would have been anything like that game. A few goals maybe, but that was a glorified friendly with nothing at stake and it showed in the complete lack of defending and tackling.

I have nothing against the team. It's the media I can't stand. They would be insufferable if England had got through to the final. I had a bad day at work on Wednesday and when they went 1-0 up I was even more sickened but the relief when they lost was unbelievable. I don't care who wins tomorrow either.

Do you really think that if Feancd and England got to the final it would have been 6-4.  Enough said

The English media are actually reading something into that game. Will they ever learn? That was a training session.

Judes goal was top drawer, regardless of the nature of the game, he may be a bell end, but he's a quality footballer. Unfortunately for him though his arrogance is what others will remember him by
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

BBC online said it was an all-time World Cuo classic.

They said Saka was the first Eng player to score a hat trick in a "WC knockout game" since Geoff Hurst. Sorry, weren't both teams already knocked out??

Do you not think RTE would be the same if we were within a farts sniff of a World Cup? We're still dining out on a fluke QF appearance over 30 years ago like.

tyroneStatto

They're putting some spin on winning that game last night.

In fairness, it is England's best finish in a WC since 1966. They fouled up in the semi, but overall that is another baby-step towards where they need to be.

Would you bet against them winning Euro 2028 on home soil? For those hate-watching England the day is coming where they will have to deal with England winning something.
