It's an annoying facet of the modern game. Teams are driven by stats (xG shite etc.) now and keeping possession. The Moneyball boys in the backroom tell them passing it into the goal is considered lower risk. But it robs us of f**king belters from outside the area or dribbles from the halfway line - sure look at the goal the bastards robbed off Egypt.
