There was talk of  keeping Kerry and Cork apart in the  semis draw had both got through. The Munster final was 3 or 4  rounds ago.

So why was it ok  for  Louth and Dublin  to meet  again  in the qualifiers  when they met in a Leinster semi?

I think  the draw  should just be the draw. If you've played  before, tough.

I realise I'm foolish going up against a solicitor but I'll give it a go. 😂. I can't see any result in the current All Ireland series where Dublin beat Louth by ten points. It may happen in the final but my crystal balls a bit cloudy.

Not sure who the solicitor is but in case you are referring to me (I am not a solicitor) I think the answer to the question whether they are completely separate competitions is answered by 6.12 of the official guide:

The Championships shall be organised as follows: INTER-COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
(A) All-Ireland Senior Football Championship:
(i) Provincial Championships These Championships shall be played on a Knockout Format. Group or 'RoundRobin' Formats may not be used.
(ii) Tier 1 (Sam Maguire Cup) 

So the Provincial Championship and Sam Maguire Cup as they call it make up the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.

So on a technical level Dublin have beaten Louth in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship this year but not in the Sam Maguire Cup as the rules call it

The rules seem to suggest the only time meeting before the Provincial final that becomes relevant is in the All Ireland Semi Final

Galway were robbed, anyone who says otherwise never kicked a ball.

New rules are about control and teams getting into a flow state. Goughs decision turned the tide and gave Dublin and the home crowd the energy to drive on.

Gough needs to be called out on this by all media but it won't happen. He's in Dublin's pockets.

Think match sharpness and not being in tight championship game vs quality opposition cost them big time along with sub par management [kickouts wtf].

Basquell overcarried twice and not blown. One of those times was the penalty call. Can feel hard done by but 1 point from Walsh and Comer is brutal stuff.

Looks like Galway have absolutely no kickout strategy

So many that was tipping Galway to win Sam was strangely ignoring their goalkeeper and defensively issues.  Joyce a lucky general so won't rule them out winning today however Kerry would ease past them should they meet.

Joyce has lucked out with having a healthy squad the last number of years that's for sure 😬

No excuse every team has injuries. The lucky general ran out of it today in what could be his final match managing Galway.

Eye opener for all those who thought All-Ireland was in that Galway team.

Dublin penalty wasn't the correct call imo, Galway defender right in front and Galway should have had a penalty...if Joyce is lucky, you can take that luck to the street, no thanks

Give Dublin credit.  They had every reason to give up after the Galway goal.  Instead they won going away.  Remind me again, which team had to play 90 minutes the previous week?

Scratching my head at some of the performances this year.  Talk about going out with a whimper.  It will be a long off season in Armagh, Donegal, Galway, Meath and Roscommon.  Do these counties have the talent to win All Irelands or are they overrated?

Then I look at the history of the championship and stop scratching my head.  Now I know why Kerry and Dublin have won so many.

Something I just don't like about Louth- probably bitterness from the way we lost to them and the whole Inniskeen debacle but fair fecking play to them, they're there on merit and deserve huge credit for that performance yesterday a man down. Unreal stuff.

Mayo have kind of sleepwalked into a semi final, beat an average Meath with the advantage of an extra man and then a dreadful Cork who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo, but they have plenty of good players, both teams will fancy their chances.

Going to predict Louth by 2 in this one.

Kerry looked unreal against us and then average enough against Tyrone Geaney and the alien aside. I'd say the 2 weeks off will do them wonders, Sean O'Shea doesn't look right yet and the break should bring him on more, same with their other lads, think you could see it with a few that they'd played 3 games on the spin, midfield will be key.

Dublin have beat 2 of what were most peoples top 4 all year and looked very impressive doing so, even if they had a lot of help from Dublin David.  Big O'CB is a beast in the air and if Con is left 1 on 1 he'll do serious harm. They always seem to handle Clifford relatively well but he's gone to another level since 2023 and I'm not sure who they put on him. So many fires to put out there with both Cliffords and Geaneys capable of destroying you, be interesting to see if they start Seanie or keep him for a lift in the second half.

Going to Kerry by 4.

Kerry to win the final as they'll just have far to much for Louth. If Dublin can somehow cause an upset in the semi then it's really anyones All Ireland.

As a neutral - I didn't want either Dublin or Galway to win. But at a push - I wanted Galway to lose.

With that in mind - how in the F*ck did David Gough get a Dublin game?
The lad lives and works in Dublin. He gave all the tight calls to Dublin.
There is no doubt about that.

Loving the rage baiting you have for Dublin. Gough lives in Slane and works in school in Inchicore, an area which would have no GAA tradition.

Major part of the problem is posts like this, thinking refs are beyond questioning.

Surely refs would welcome changes such as video reply or a third ref in a monitoring room helping him. Soccer and rugby both have it.
