The Connacht GAA Air Dome is expected to be back in full use by the end of this month after the structure, which was destroyed during Storm Éowyn almost a year and a half ago, was reinflated on Tuesday morning.

The dome, located at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence at Bekan in Co Mayo, was destroyed by the high winds in that storm in January 2025 but has now been restored at a cost in the region of €4 million.

Heard a piece with Prenty on RTÉ Radio 1 today. Over 400 days down but it'll take another few weeks to finish off. Insurance covered but but lost a lot of revenue.

Floodlights fold down and dome can be deflated if another big storm comes.

So the bungling plod can legitimately argue that the shite of it they made around the Nowak murder is policy and you can't blame them individually

Bad people do bad things, skin colour doesn't come into it.

Stupid people do stupid things, just because you're a police officer doesn't exempt you from being stupid and incompetent.

Using situations to justify an agenda, well that's callous

In this case a bad person carried out an attack and killed somebody and tried (with help from family) to cover it up, that's standard practice from a bad person/family

The cops on the scene didn't deliberately let this person die, according to coroner's report he was fatally wounded, they made a horrible judgement and should be punished for it.

Political parties are now filling their boots off the back of a young lads death to push their narrative.

Multiculturalism probably doesn't work, people don't integrate too much, religion, fear, uneducated, racism, and other barriers are in place to prevent it from happening.

Other that deporting people (who'll keep coming back) what's the fix in all of this, as it's here and all the bile spilled from the Tommy R's of this world won't fix it
