Not something you'd want to hear from her now!

In a world before cheap flights it certainly opened the world up.

Good presenter and came across as a pure lady on that show. Her son was a TV presenter also.

Chalmers had Alzheimer's disease for several years I believe.

That was a tough time. The first Celtic trophy i remember was when big Pierre van Hooijdonk scored to beat Airdrie in the Scottish Cup final about 1995. I think the last trophy before that was 89 Scottish Cup, Joe Miller vs Rangers but i was too young for that. Lost the League Cup against Raith around 95 too. McStay missed a pen in the shootout. Rangers 9 in a row years and Celtic were generally 3rd or 4th in those years. Having lived through that is why i will always appreciate current successes.

Paul Mc Stay was a fantastic Celtic player during that barren era.

Maybe won a cup? Could have went elsewhere but was too loyal.

Then Fergus Mc Cann came in and as Brian Dempesy said, 'The rebels have won' and the rest, as they say, is history. I think initially Celtic fans (iirc) were very sceptial about Mc Cann and his intentions.
