Real shame about Loughlin, he'd do harm against that defence. Too much quality in that Dublin forward line if they're on it unfortunately, but wouldn't write Westmeath off. Love to see Heslin coming in and firing a goal or 2.

You can still see a little glint of Old Dublin there. And it is Scully, Costello, Byrne, Howard and Kilkenny that are responsible for that. The turnovers and defence of the arc are a way of approaching the new rules if they feel they cant score two pointers.

That being said, Westmeath opened up Dublin for two goal opportunities and are circling for two pointers. The first ten in the second half will be big.
