I was  sorta hoping  Israel would win , so we'd see lots more  boycotters , and the whole  thing would fall  apart

They need to get rid of that nonsense public vote. Israel got a generous 8th place with the jury then pushed up to 2nd.

I wonder how many tuned in to RTE to watch Father Ted song for Europe instead of the Eurovision.  BBC had Father Noel Furlong on the commentary thinking he was English.

The Netherlands is poised to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest for the second year in a row because of Israel's war in Gaza.
Avrotros, the public broadcaster, said the event could "no longer be considered neutral" because of the divisions among countries over Israel taking part in the competition.
It said that new rules designed to guarantee the contest's political neutrality were not sufficient, meaning it had to make the "painful" decision to continue its boycott.

Ireland not participating or broadcasting in 2027.

Neither are the Netherlands .
