Armagh18

Fairly strong team named and excellent bench which will be key, could be a change or 2 before throw in.

Could see Andrew and Oisin coming in
But it's strongest we have had all year
No excuses.

Yeah Full deck bar Forker and Mackin? Seen a clip somewhere of Forker saying he feels as good as he has in a long time so actually surprised he's not in the 26.

Would agree with this, as McCambridge, McElroy, Turbo, O'Neill, Grugan and Murnin can't all be used from bench and I think will be needed.

Personally would like to see Oisin O'Neill to start in place of Duffy and Murnin for Paddy Burns with TK going 6 and Murphy to full back line.

Think we have too many defenders on the pitch
Would have murnin for Tomas and Oisin for Jason
Switch Tiernan back
Move murnin into midfield and play with 5 up front

McCormack good for a couple of points though

Positions don't really matter in todays game, Ross is at wing back but averaging 3 points a game, Jarly Og I'd say would be similar, McCormack and McCabe have chipped in with plenty of scores, maybe an argument for Oisin over Duffy but 2 different player who would play very different roles.

Anyone know if the Armagh / Fermanagh game will be televised?

Not much word about the upcoming Cavan v Monaghan squabble this weekend, understandably enough. I'm not unconfident, not because I believe we're any good, but because Monaghan is the one team we always approach in a truly resolute frame of mind and with conviction, no matter the teams' respective form going into it. No tentative, inferiority complex or psychological baggage, it's like there's one team in the country we always feel we've a right to beat, and it's Monaghan.

Both sets of fans should enjoy it as there won't be many matches this season we'll both go into justifiably confident of winning.

Bit like Armagh and Tyrone form doesn't really come into it with these 2, could go either way.

Monaghan were terrible in Div 1. Albeit missing up to 12 starters during the league. Now, I've heard that all of those injured players are back training but it's a stretch to see no more than 2 or 3 of them starting v Cavan. Being match fit is a different thing. For instance I'd be surprised if Conor McCarthy started, though he might appear from the bench as he's such an important player when fully fit. Louis Kelly, not sure he's got 70 minutes in him. Same with McAnespie, Mohan, Lavelle , Mooney who all ordinarily would be starters. The game has come too soon for Mick Hamill who hopefully should be back for the All Ireland series. Would love to see Bobby McCaul make the bench too if he's fit.

Cavan have their own problems - zonal defending was badly exposed during the league. They were also missing some players such as Cian Reilly who is very good. They've lacked pace in half forward line (not trusted the promising Shehu who has pace). Kick outs haven't been great. They lacked leadership too, Faulkner is huge loss to Cavan as he's a lion hearted player.

Kinda have a wee sneaky feeling Cavan can win this but the whole Monaghan injury list is a bit of a farce according to a friend of mine from Monaghan. He reckons the Managhan manager was exaggerating the injury list and they don't have as many on the treatment table as he suggested, he reckons he's adding players who have retired or no longer available to that list (I duuno). Should be a good game and for me is 50/50

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Cavan inside line would have good scoring threat. Lynch, Brady and McVeety if they play as selected are good finishers. Other areas are more average, and the bench is mostly inexperienced.
