Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Still not great.

tyroneStatto

Tyrone have missed a lot with the wind. Only 1 x 2 pointer I think scored.

bennydorano

Tyrone look in trouble, 9.8 down having played with a stiff breeze (& missed at least 7/8 2pt attempts). Couldn't be any worse into the wind tho.

DaleCooper

Tyrones shooting v poor , lashing at shots and havent been able to deal with crosswind it seems.

Canavan and Jordan[x2] have missed scoreable 2 pointers. At least they are going for them

Blowitupref

Half time

Kildare 0-10 Louth 0-17
Tyrone 0-8 Cork 0-9
Derry 1-9 Cavan 0-9
Offaly 0-9 Meath 2-9

Poor. Work rate is not good. Cavan still well in it.

Cavan much improved here, by simple dint of attacking at pace and also, at last, putting some heat on the opponent when defending instead of trotting alongside them like dressage horses, a metre off their man, like they've done every other time I've seen them (still quite loose, but Derry are too). Dominated possession, seem to be getting the kickouts working and only an opportunistic, well-taken goal prevents us from going in level. Derry getting their scores easier off less possession. Hope it remains as close in the second half.

Edit: Forgot to ask, what's up McVeety's arse today? He's all snark and niggle and will see red if he's not careful.

CD is a big miss for Derry just haven't been at the level of intensity this past few weeks that we saw after the Meath game.

Should have enough to beat Cavan their no 6 and big Gearoid up front are keeping them in it.

Would be amazed if 14 stays on the pitch he's firing sly digs all over the place!

McVeety should be away already. Derry playing poor again. Would need Rodgers at Midfield but been down half u starting bcks they put Rodgers into Corner back on Lynch !

oakleaflad

Cavan should probably be ahead given the amount of the ball they've had. Have noticed they haven't hit many (if any) 2 point shots into what would usually be described as the scoring end.
Not sure what's up with McVeety but he's lucky to still be on.

Cork are going to kick this game away. Couple of unforgivable misses there
