Problem they're gonna have with a few, and Elliot Anderson is a case in point, there's the English player tax, buying from another English club tax, and the Man Utd tax. You could end up getting rinsed for north of £80m, if thats the case I'd tell them to get te fk and go to the continent with £30m for someone functional, the players are out there in abundance

I'd also be doing an extensive trawl of captains from U21 and senior international teams, including marginal nations, and a dossier on who the next captain is likely to be when the current captain is finished up - they need to recruit the right type of personalities, any more Sancho Rashford types just starts the cycle again

I always think of the MON Celtic UEFA Cup final team, they had something like 8 or 9 international captains and were a hardened unit, possibly one of the top 10 teams in Europe at the time? In another timeline it could have been Celtic winning UEFA and CL back to back 2003/2004

Carrick and his players will be left frustrated to not get the three points when in a winning position twice but on the balance of play a draw probably a fair result. Two draws with Bournemouth this season 6-6 on AGG.

I suppose holding on to draw with ten men for the last 22 minutes of action was improvement on losing the last away match against ten men.

2 brutal penalty decisions. Probably happy enough with a point with 10 men. Villa, Chelsea and the Scouse all tricky enough fixtures so mightn't be that bad a result.

Just watched those two penalty incidents. Amad Diallo fouled and should have been the opportunity to go 2-0 ahead instead play waved on and Bournemouth make it 1-1.

The Bournemouth penalty, Maguire made the foul correct call and it was a goal scoring opportunity so correct call to send him off also IMO but the two incidents shows the lack of consistency with VAR once more.
