Are people simple or what? League and championship are totally spearate in Kerry, played at different times of year, one with county players/one without.

Personally have no real issue with league and championship being separate. Kerry should have more than 8 senior clubs though. But that's their choice until something is done about it.

Clogher are going to have serious regrets after this unless their shooting improves quickly.

I think a Derry,Tyrone,Donegal,Armagh  Division 1 league team would beat that team fairly handy playing Junior fball level.

There are 9 Senior clubs, going up to 10 next year. Tried to make it 12 with 8 divisional teams but Croke park wouldn't allow it.

And how many clubs in Kerry in total?

Im just saying we've 16 senior clubs out of 40 in total in Derry. You can see why people complain.

16 Senior clubs out of 40 total? That's stupid to me.

There's 60 odd clubs and 5 grades in Kerry. 10 Senior-16 Intermediate-Premier Junior & Junior. The rest are Novice.

Good win for Ballymac. Much better second half from them. Clogher poor finishing in second especially cost them.

64 teams in Kerry. but there no shame about them, i say every Tyrone Division 1 team would beat them. and there championship and league is Seperate.

Quote from: Jerome on January 11, 2026, 09:10:09 AMThe team from Kerry that are playing in the junior final are playing Division 1 league. How's that fair. Kerry at it again.
And the team from Kerry that are playing in the senior final next week were in Division 2. Na Gaeil are senior and couldn't get promoted from Division 3, with 3 games to go they were in relegation trouble.

League is more or less irrelevant in Kerry, no county players, whether that be senior or underage, available for most of it so any club like Ballymac that don't have any are at a big advantage. Add in the others that are away in college or have moved away and only travel back for championship, particularly in South and West Kerry, and there's very little that can be read into league form.

Senior championship, club championships and district championships all far more important.

I've said it before, you play div 1 and hold your own, you are not a junior level club.. Nowhere near it

Jerome, to answer your question, yes Kerry Div 1
They were relegated with 1 win from 11 games so hardly held their own. Only 4 of the clubs in Division 1 last year were senior so they were effectively being beaten every week by intermediate clubs.

70 odd clubs in Kerry, you play Div 1 you are not junior grade by any measurement

LEAGUE IS NOT CHAMPIONSHIP. Repeat 100 times it might go through your brain a bit better.

Do you not think it's better preparation to play against better players though? Imagine Clogher got the chance to play against Errigal and Trillick. You don't think that would improve you in any way as a footballer?
