Quote from: Captain Obvious on January 09, 2026, 10:09:52 PMTiempo you recently revealed that you are Arsenal supporter yet spend most of your time on this thread with a strange fascination with Roy Keane.

Hard not to be fascinated by the downward spiral post Fergie, plenty are fascinated by Keane also, Irelands greatest ever sports person in my view

Most non Manchester United supporters lost whatever fascination they had with Roy Keane when he walked out on his country in Saipan.

Can you elaborate a bit more on your fascination with Roy Keane?

He should be interim manager shouldn't he

From the Bunker

A lot here living in the past. Man Utd no longer have a standing in world football. The club is currently on a loop of hiring or firing Managers who come with promise and leave disillusioned.

We hear of the Utd way and of the DNA of the club. Such pretentious talk.

The Club is financially broken.
They have a plethora of players bought expensive, on high wages and player just running their contracts down.

There is no aura, no standard and no stability.

To make things worse you have Ferguson hanging around like a lord of the manor and his former players now high profile pundits with various multi media junkets remembering the good old days. It all loads unreal expectations.

Finally, the Glaziers don't care about the club being successful. They collect their dividend at the end of the year - and that's all they care about. They know the fans are emotionally tied and if someone steps away someone else will fill their place.

100% agree. I cringe when I hear Utd fans and past players on about this or running down other club's histories.

Fact of the matter is Utd have had 2 winning managers since WW1. If anything the Utd DNA is mediocrity. Two exceptional men bucked that trend but they had no "knowledge" of the club previously and had cut their teeth elsewhere.

Busby learned his trade playing at City, where he won the cup, and Liverpool. He was a visionary so Utd deserve credit in hiring a novice manager and giving him free reign to transform the club with some radical ideas.

Ferguson learned his trade in Scotland. Again, absolutely no knowledge of the Utd way. In fact he railed against the Utd way and DNA first few years and it almost beat him. It was his way or the highway.

Open to correction was the United way phrase not coined during Busby time with the attacking brand of football they played.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Utd remind me of Inter Milan through the 90s 00s when Italian football was at its peak, spunking buckets of cash on players and managers with little to show bar the odd cup - its been crisis management the last 10 years with everyone out for themselves, very few are putting the club before their personal interests, the latest gombeens being Ruben who proved himself to be as petulant as Rashford, and Wilcox who is now in full self-preservation mode and will hire OGS more in hope than expectation, hiring Ole at the midpoint and sacking the season off should be a sackable offence, meanwhile you've Sir Jim who wouldn't know if a ball was blown up or stuffed

Not sure but it means about as much as the West Ham way at present.

What a horrendous red card to give away... you just love to see it!!

Armagh18

That red card being given sums up whats wrong with the game. Sent off for showing abit of passion ffs.

Would love to see Keane get the job for the simple fact he'd headbutt Diogo Dalot within 15 minutes🤣

Onthe40

More of the same crap from Utd.. as I posted previously they have a squad full of poor players

Bogman

Looking forward to hearing all the positives Dag Dog takes from that game!
Tomorrow is not guaranteed

United are an absolute shit show.

Even as a fan , I  have a morbid fascination in seeing how low  they can go.
