Ah yes a competition that gives youngsters like Mattie Donnelly,Darren McCurry a chance.

Armagh should gain revenge in the upcoming division one campaign against Tyrone,  oh wait...

2 men with a combined age of over 70 years old. Clutching at straws a bit. Not hard for anyone to recognise armagh had more established senior players on the pitch than tyrone did.

Going to be a long year with use armagh ones if you cant even acknowledge that. Its the McKenna cup ffs
Those two lads will both have a big say for Tyrone if they are to go well this year and both made significant contributions in Tyrone winning last night.

Both sides will look different come April and be at a different level of fitness/intensity.

Had no intensity but some nice scores on both sides and wasn't a bad way to spend a Friday night
Thought Canavan excellent as always
Frank burns also had a good run out
Joe played well for Armagh as did no6
Both keepers though were car crashes

Daniel Magee. Clann Eireann man. Didn't look out of place albeit in a McKenna cup game

Surely mcgeeny will say enough is enough and keep him away from panel. A distraction at this stage

Confirmed by management tonight. No loss to Armagh his constant distraction.

Yet several folks here said I was talking rubbish....

Not really something to be bragging about it is it? Hopefully the man gets the help, it would appear, he needs

Agree. Entertaining game which will mean nothing ultimately. Disappointing to lose though

Thought he ran the bench midway thru 2nd half, all new or fringe players that came on, McGeeney is a big believer in sink or swim, sank last night.

Will Ulster seriously keep the Down v Armagh game in Burren?

Its a small club venue at best.

7k or so in Armagh the other night, you'd expect a fairly big crowd of Armagh ones would have headed to Newry. Haven't been in Burren in long while, how many would it hold?

Surely it gets moved to Armagh?

In one sense happy enough with Armagh last night. We were well on top but folded at the end. A lot of changes though. Not massively concerned with that aspect.

On another note I would be more concerned (and not much less concerned if I was a Tyrone supporter). The tactics and approach of both teams, if persisted with to the summer, will win very little (possibly a division 2 title for Tyrone) but nothing serious. Too early in the season to be unduly negative on this point but I'd assume both fans will want to see a development of their attacking approach.

More concerned about our defence tbh, looked miles off. Kickouts were woeful as well, think at this stage I'd rather see Rafferty out the field and Blaine in nets.

Hopefully he works out whatever it is.

Talented, top class player which our game needs.
