Glenullin will be stronger this time than the previous 2 outings as they been playing in Division 1 and that benefit them. Still nowhere near as strong as Ballinderry were last year.

Man crying about Glenullin when Ballinderry were twice the team last year. Had Derry went to a 12 team senior championship which was the long term intention, there been a Derry Intermediate team which  would been coming out of Ulster ever couple of years.

Good to see Glenullin get their hands on some silverware after painstakingly going a whole year without winning the Derry intermediate championship.

They've got the "easy" side of the draw - the Antrim winners followed by the Armagh winners - so you'd expect with all their experience of winning IFCs in the last four years as well as playing Division 1 football in Derry this year that they'll be one of the favourites, along with winners of Eglish/Clonoe.

Maybe a competitive league competition would help push on players more instead of only giving them maybe half a dozen competitive games a year

If Carrickmacross win Monaghan IFC they will be contenders.

Monaghan JFC winners are Emyvale who won it comfortably and are unbeaten this season. If they get all their county men back in their starting line up, they will win the Ulster JFC.

Saval won the IFC in Down with a very convincing win over Annaclone on Saturday. Saval have Pat Havern in their ranks and some really good players for this level. They'd need a big step up to compete at the latter stages of the Ulster IFC though.

Ardglass won their first Down JFC in 23 years on Friday night by beating Kilclief by 4 points. It would be a big shock if they got past the Cavan champions though.
