Quote from: Ryan O on August 30, 2025, 11:22:07 PMThe quality of football has definitely increased bit unfortunately the level of our officials maybe not. The amount of shouting from managerial teams for the 3 up rule is shocking and really needs knocked on the head.

For a breach is it a free on half way or 13 yards I've lost track at this stage?

You have the choice. You can take a 13m free, guaranteed point. Or bring it out to 40m and risk 2 points.

I am not sure that is what Ryan O meant. Actually, I agree with him. I thought mid season the breach rule meant a free in the 1/2 way line where the breach occurred but still see the advance to the 13m line as the punishment. Not really sure what it is as there have been so many changes and now I see the FRC are looking for more amendments.
Wonder will Gavin make so many amendments if he becomes president

If a player takes a ball and momentum takes him a foot or so inside, it'll be a halfway line free or something  more of an 'accidental' encrouchment. If a player goes across to get involved in play it's a 13m free, a clear breach

Can't buy the Swatragh newbridge game. Forcing me to buy a day pass.

Anyone else getting this?

yes I know that but at least twice Bellaghy had only two up but and the last player to cross the half way wasn't involved in the play yet the free was still on the 13 yard line.

Lavey and Swatragh looked very poor today albeit again in very poor conditions.

Ballinderry and Banagher the pick of the games surprisingly, with Banagher fully deserving winners.
Some tasty enough games above with it being knockout football should be a little more bite in them.

Youd have been as well saving your money. Couldnt believe how poorly Swatragh played with the wind. It was a miracle they were leading at half time. And then Lavey went and out-did them and played even worse

I did end up saving my money, no chance of spending £15 to watch one match. Right decision by the sound of it.

Before the round 3 draw they said repeat pairings were allowed, not sure how it'll pan out for the quarters.

Have to say well done to the county board finally got their act together in terms of publicising the club championships on social media at least and the podcast is a nice addition with a variety of topics we'll covered

This was well known before the championship started. If the county board accept this request could the remaining 3 teams not be put into a group and play each other with the bottom team being relegated along with Drumsurn?

Nevermind I forgot it's a 1 down scenario

For the Oisin McWilliams fans among us, good to see him take to the field today. Newbridges first phase of play was good until they seemed to realise they didn't have to expend themselves too much

Ryan O

Some lack of ambition shown by Drumsurn here, you would think they would try and push themselves to show they want and are capable of playing Senior Championship football.

Yes the chances of winning compared with Intermediate might be low but ultimately are we not striving to be the best. Bound to be deflating for there strong underage players.

Faughanvale have been brilliant this year in the senior league and being competitive in Senior Championship, they have obviously decided thats were they want to play.
