I am going to Athlone in 2 weeks for a lads night away and sharing a room with no breakfast for 240! I honestly have no idea how people with families can afford to holiday here.

Back to the WTF aspect of this and the article it's amazing how many full-on stupid people are floating now. I am sure they were always there, but they don't seem to hide it anymore. Maybe it's not studpidty but zero self-awareness.
A cold pint of Dead Pixels in Dead Centre would hit the spot this evening!

Gone up a lot since my last visit/night out in Athlone two years ago.  Got a shared room (no breakfast either) for 77 euro in Shamrock Lodge Hotel.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Denies the offence and will serve half the sentence on licence. That scum will be walking the streets again while still in his 30s.

There will be as much work done in the office as there was at home 👀

A fair chunk were already 2 days a week in the office. Pain in the arse not being able to get a wash on and the house hoovered.

30 years since I got my A Level results, feels like yesterday.

Grades were middle of the road in terms of Bs  & Cs but was enough for me at the time.

Main thing was I was heading for the big smoke.

Captain Scarlet

We are 3 days in my place barring some tech heads that need to be on site for equipment. The boss comes in 5 days a week, but that's a boredom thing. She'd have us all in all the time if she had her way, but then most of the days we are all in she is over talking shite for an hour and actually stopping us working.

The thing is my core team all work away and can be trusted to do their jobs, but I know other sections who flute about at home. Then on the days that most people are in you see them taking their 4th coffee break by 2pm.

Managers hire people and if they hire workshy people, those workers will do F all at home or in the office.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

But that's the same for any job, even in the private sector workshy people in all areas.

Targets need met and if not, regardless of private or public sector that needs addressed, be it more training or coaching and the ability to put back on probation

Also nobody wants a job, I'm on my 6th person (sorta telesales reception type role) so before ya start I never seen two, they just didn't start on day one after training, the other was always heading back to Oz, one left after a week, partner fell off a roof, then one just came in after working 8 weeks as a temp and when offered the job said nah!

Fingers crossed the other one stays!

Decent salary and huge promotional options, our now managing sales director started out as receptionist, so plenty of scope.

Working from home or covid has had a direct link to working patterns, going to take a while I feel before it fixes itself
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Been reading some of the news bulletins on line re the A-Level result especially some of the courses they are planning to do at Uni.

To say a few of these courses are complete bullsh#t would be an understatement.

Unfortunately the penny will only drop for a lot of them down the line when they are £30k in debt.
